My wife and I met and married in Colorado and brought three children into the world there. When we moved to California so that I could complete some graduate study we kept Colorado in our hearts. We vacationed every summer in the high Colorado Rockies. Back in my twenties I even started and ran a backpacking program for young people there. Colorado is simply in my blood. And when I started painting I was fortunate enough to receive instruction from the world-renowned Colorado artist, Stephen Quiller. Many of the my Colorado paintings were started plein aire at workshops with Stephen. You will especially notice the Fall Aspen colors in many of them.
