Want to commission an artwork for your home?

Then I start painting your actual painting!

At this point I don’t show it to you again until it is finished. The reason for this is that, as an artist I need the freedom to paint from my heart.

You tell me what you want me to paint, and send me a picture of it

Tell me what is special about it (if you want to) so that I can get the “feeling” the location evokes in you. You also tell me what size you want it to be. We work out the pricing before I start the process. My prices normally go by size of the painting.

I do a small "study" i.e. painting

After I paint the study, I send it back to you for feedback. This is to see if I am on the right track. At this point you can give your candid thoughts on one or two changes you would like to see. 

"Commissioning” a painting is when you ask the artist to paint a specific scene for you. It might be a favorite landscape from a place you visit often with your family. Or it could simply be a photo you love of a landscape. 

The Last Step

I show you the final painting and you decide if you want to buy it

At this point if you love it… you buy it! If you don’t completely love it, you have the option to not buy it. I only want my paintings to sell when it touches the person commissioning it. If I keep the painting, I maintain the freedom to give or sell it to someone else.
